Doing BusinessAbout UsThe Grande Alberta Economic Region (GAER) is an alliance of 14 rural municipalities, towns and villages, including one associate member, Jasper National Park. The GAER not-for-profit corporation is made up of business, government, and industry stakeholders operating as an agency on behalf of its member municipalities.Each municipality is represented by an elected delegate and an alternate.
Several provincial and regional agencies provide technical resources
in support. The Grande Alberta Economic Region (see map) stretches
from Onoway on the east, to Grande Cache and Jasper National Park
on the west. It extends 60 kilometres south of Highway 16 and 20
kilometres north of Highway 43. Demographics
