If you enjoy beautiful terrain and scenic views, make plans to picnic, hike, and camp in one of Edson's many natural areas. If fishing is your passion, don't miss dropping a line in one of our creeks, lakes, or rivers.

You can experience how Aboriginal people once lived by visiting the Edson Native Interpretive Trail. You can also discover the area's history by visiting the Galloway Museum, the Red Brick Arts Centre & Museum, and numerous heritage buildings. Take a self-guided tour at your own pace with a copy of "Heritage Walk: A Walking Tour of One of Edson's Heritage Neighbourhoods"—available at local museums.

Edson is a great place to enjoy all kinds of recreation. The Silver Summit Ski Area is a popular spot for downhill ski enthusiasts, cross-country skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobile riders. You will find more than 35 kilometres of novice and intermediate groomed trails at the Hornbeck Cross-Country Ski Area.

Golfing enthusiasts will take pleasure in the challenges of Edson's 18-hole golf course and driving range. The Town of Edson also has twin arenas, as well as an indoor pool and waterslide. Special events include the annual Kinsmen Mixed Slo-pitch Tournament, which attracts more than 250 western Canadian teams.
