Visitor InformationPhone: (780) 622-2000Even though the Town of Fox Creek was only incorporated in 1967, it already has a museum to keep track of its history! This "new" oil patch town has grown into a centre that includes more than 310 guest rooms, including motels, hotels, and bed & breakfasts. Begin your visit with a stop at the Tourist Information Centre and get a close-up look at the full-scale drilling rig. There is a playground for the kids and covered picnic tables to make your stay more enjoyable. Take a walk on the Don Nicolson Trail and enjoy the scenery along the footbridges over Fox Creek. There are several lakes, as well as rivers that are ideal for canoeing and fishing. This is one of the southernmost locations where anglers can catch arctic char. Water skiing and hiking opportunities are also available. Campers will find the untouched natural areas a true paradise. The Silver Birch Golf Club is one of the most scenic nine-hole courses in northwestern Alberta. The town also boasts an outdoor pool. Fox Creek is part of the famous Golden Triangle—more than 350 kilometres of groomed snowmobile trails that connect Fox Creek, Whitecourt, and Swan Hills.Other Tourism Resources |
