You will find countless opportunities for watching wildlife and experiencing nature in these forested foothills. Unspoiled streams, rivers, and lakes are ideal for fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, river rafting, and swimming. You can hike across historic routes used by early settlers, check out sand dunes and sandstone hoodoos, or visit a ghost town. Take a guided tour by all-terrain vehicle, plane, helicopter, or coach. If you like camping, backpacking, horseback riding, caving, golfing, or hang gliding, then plan a long stay in Hinton! The town's lit trails accommodate hikers, cyclists, and cross-country skiers.
