The motto of the Town of Mayerthorpe is "Be Our Guest." This friendly town welcomes you to experience all it has to offer—camping, boating, swimming, vintage auto shows, bird watching, and much more.

Test your skills on the nine-hole golf course. Visit the outdoor swimming pool, play some tennis, or try your luck fishing at the Paddle River Dam.

Don't be surprised if you spot some exotic animals when driving through the countryside around Mayerthorpe. Bison, wild boar, and llamas are raised in the area and visitors are welcome at many of these ranches. Ask for details at the Tourist Information Centre.
