Whether you and your travel companions are avid fishermen, hikers, golfers, snowmobilers or cross-country skiers, Whitecourt has something for everyone! Begin your visit to Whitecourt by stopping at the Tourist Information Booth, located on Highway 43 in the Whitecourt & District Forest Interpretive Centre. The knowledgeable staff will help you with all of your travel needs. While you are there, book a tour to visit one of Whitecourt’s forest industry mills. Whitecourt is has a variety of services and amenities to accommodate visitors during their stay. There are numerous hotels, motels and campgrounds in and around Town that will fit your accommodation needs; and a variety of restaurants that are sure to satisfy whatever you may crave. As the Snowmobile Capital of Alberta, Whitecourt has a vast trail system of groomed trails and uncut terrain. Sled more than 350 kilometers of groomed trails on the famous Golden Triangle Trail. Make sure you walk or bike the trails linking Whitecourt’s hilltop to valley, and visit the swimming pool, tennis courts, ball diamonds, twin arenas, curling rink and Rotary Park.
