The GAER Workforce is Youthful
The people who live and work in the Grande Alberta Region are younger than the average Albertan or Canadian:

  • 53 % of our region's population is between 20 and 54
  • 85 % is 54 or younger

The GAER Workforce is Building for the Future
Building permit values in our region increased by 116% from 1999 to 2003.

The GAER Workforce is Educated and Employable
Close to 25% of our workforce are high school graduates. Almost 14,000 people in our workforce have post-secondary degrees or diplomas.

The GAER Workforce is Trained and Diverse
The people of GAER drive our economy forward.  They are trained in various industries and the service industries that support them, including:

In 2008, the average annual household income in Grande Alberta was $63,352, which means that a higher number of GAER households break the $60,000 annual income plateau than those in Edmonton and Red Deer.
